PROFESSIONAL TATTOOING ASSOCIATION OF AUSTRALIA

The Professional Tattooing Association of Australia {P.T.A.A.} is a national association incorporated in Victoria in 1982. The main principles of the PTAA as an industry benchmark is to assist Members in the streamlining of procedures in both technical tattooing, the preservation and adherence to relative Health Department Skin Penetration Guidelines in each state of Australia, and to uphold a moral obligation to all clients and prospective clients in general.

In order to become a full Member of the Professional Tattooing Association of Australia, a tattoo artist must be currently working in a professional studio for a minimum of two years and then fulfil one additional probationary year in his or her first year of Membership. There are additional criteria required for new membership assessments based on artistic, technical and other responsibilities that all tattoo artists must adhere to as Members of the Professional Tattooing Association of Australia.

Please note that you must be 18 years or over to have a tattoo and photo identification will be required at the event of making an appointment.Parental consent is not an option - this is South Australian Legislation! Please also note that you can not receive a tattoo if under the influence of drugs or alcohol [including prescription medication if senses are effected].
